The down time of my career....

It had already been 2 months and 18 days (including today) since i last wore my office attire on 25 March 2013. It was unexpected news which i got on that peaceful morning after I've finished up discussing some ideas on helping my colleague to solve his product related issue.
At around 10.10 a.m., i received a phone call from my Vice President asking me to go to 7th floor to meet him.

Before that, my best buddy in the office, who is the Sr. Manager in Planning Department,  came to me and asking about how i spent my weekend. I was surprised since he din't acted like that before. Without thinking of anything, i just replied him back by asking him whether he bumped into me while i was in city area spending my time with my loved one. He din't directly answered me, instead he just smiled away.

Later, another colleague of mine, who is the office joker and always cracked joke to break the silence of our office, came to greet me. He asked me to have lunch with him on that noon. Not knowing anything bout agenda behind the invitation, i spontaneously agreed to join the lunch.
After finish discussing with my colleague who is the process engineer, i went to the Planning Department cubicle to clear some doubt of mine. Once i was at their cubicle, i saw some backpacks and paper bags were neatly packed and ready to go. I asked my that colleagues what had happened. To his surprised, he still  thought that i already knew the shocking news. When i said that i still don't know of anything had happened, my best buddy explained to me that they are getting retrenched. I was so shocked and speechless. I don't know what to say, and while I'm in silent mode, my best buddy told me that i was in the list too. I still showed no reaction, maybe I'm too surprised with that news and din't hear properly when my best buddy explained to me.

That was when i got the unwanted phone call from my Vice President once I've returned back to my seat. Once I've reached 7th floor, when i was walking at the walkway, i smiled at my HR manager, but she din't return the smile to me, which make me felt curious since she is the friendly type of person. After knocking the room door, the person inside welcome me to enter. Inside, there were my Vice President together with the company Sr. HR Manager. On that moment onward  my mouth felt like being zipped away with some short replied sometime escaped from the closed mouth. The Sr. HR Manager was there to explained the compensation that the company going to give me for that "damage". I still kept quite and just accept what so ever document or amount she explained to me. After done with the explanation and some word of regret and apology, i left the room and headed back to my cubicle to start packing up my things, save the important documents on the laptop to my thumb-drive and signed some documents. Before i left, i passed all my belonging like the batch ID and laptop to the Vice President so that he can sign the clearance form.

Around 12 p.m., those people get retrenched, 6 in total including me and they were my superior, who is the Sr. Director of that Department, my best buddy, Sr. Manager from Planning Department and his 2 subordinate, who one of them just joined the department a few months back, followed by our office secretary, left that office. 4 of us, excluding the secretary and my superior, went to have lunch at the nearby "kopitiam". We have a short chit chat and planned to visit a Chinese Temple at Bugis to pray for job searching and security.

To cut it short, that is how my story of being jobless for 2 months plus in Singapore after being worked with the company for 1 and the half years. Now, I'm still struggling to hunt for new job in Singapore although i had heard that some people mentioned that it's tough to find engineering job in semiconductor field in Singapore since after what i have been through some interviews process, those employers in Singapore really are looking for job relevancy before they can start to hire you. That's all i would to share and express my career dilemma in Singapore.

For those who knew any vacancy which related to semiconductor field, under product or test engineering department, please help to share the info to me, at least.

My Faith...

Even for half a day i dint 'hear' from her, i already feel so very down...
But, yesterday, everything went smoothly like the world is ours...
Suddenly, it turned 'dark' without any signal, at the next day...
Whenever i tried to close my eyes, the memories with her flash my eyes to open wide...
So far, as i know, there is no conflict between us beforehand, but then, it just happen like within few hours of the day...
When i'm ready to announce to your my decision, suddenly this black moment happened...
What a fate... although i really have faith on you...
Haiz..

My 1st Credit Card in SG

This is my 1st time applying credit card in SG as i was keep thinking whether want to get it or not last time, since last time i used to always go for business travel and my boss did recommended me to apply one SG credit card so that i don't need to apply for cash advance from the company and also to avoid from losing certain % of money during claiming my business expanses with company's finance department if i were to use M'sia credit card, due to the currency conversion rate.
But, stil i only apply this SG credit card after i had gone through all my training trip at oversea and suffer the minimal amount of lost from the conversion rate by using the M'sia credit card. What an orthodox.. =_=
The reason i choose this Dividend Visa Signature credit card from Citibank is because it offers direct cash rebate instead of reward points which for me is kinda useless. The other reason is because what i heard from friends of mine that Citibank is good in providing privilleges/discounts at dining places, which again serve my main purpose of usage for this credit card. In term of the basic card annual fee, for principal card holder, it will be charged at SGD160.50 per annum, which i think is way too expensive compared to M'sia annual service charge ( exclude the M'sia GST and compare dollar to dollar). Nevertheless, what i heard from people is that, as long as u swipe at least 12 times per year you can waive the annual fee or if there is annual fee imposed to your account, just make a call to their service center and start to bug them about going to terminate the credit card service or whatsoever reason you can think of. Then walla!! the fee will be waived... hehhee.. but i yet to try it 1st... =)
The cash rebate benefits is listed as below:
Type of spend: Cash Back:
Petrol 5%
Dining* 2%
Groceries* 2%
Pharmaceuticals 2%
All other spend 0.5%

* 2% cash back on dining excludes food & beverage spend within hotels and wedding banquets held in hotel

I think that's all Im going to write bout it. Till next time... getting ready to swipe my new credit card... hehehe..

Food for thought...

I came across this posting in LYN forum which i think very meaningful for those being hurt before in the relationship.

1. Visualize a box in your head labeled “Expectations.” Whenever you start dwelling on how things should be or should have been, mentally shelve the thoughts in this box.
2. Focus all your energy on something you can actually control, instead of dwelling on things you can’t.
3. Change your perception—see the root cause as a blessing in disguise.
4. Cry it out. According to Dr. William Frey II, PH.D., biochemist at the Ramset Medical Center in Minneapolis crying away your negative feelings releases harmful chemicals that build up in your body due to stress.
5. Remind yourself that anger hurts you more than the person who upset you, and visualize it melting away as an act of kindness to yourself.
6. Take responsibility. Many times when you’re angry, you focus on what someone else did that was wrong—which essentially gives away your power. When you focus on what you could have done better, you often feel empowered and less bitter.
7. Put yourself in the offender’s shoes. We all make mistakes; and odds are you could have easily slipped up just like your husband, father, or friend did. Compassion dissolves anger.
8. Use a stress ball, and express your anger physically and vocally when you use it. Make a scrunched up face or grunt. You may feel silly, but this allows you to actually express what you’re feeling inside.
9. Wear a rubber band on your wrist, and gently flick it when you start obsessing on angry thoughts. This trains your mind to associate that type of persistent negativity with something unpleasant.
10. Remind yourself these are your only three options: remove yourself from the situation, change it, or accept it. These acts create happiness; holding onto bitterness never does.
11. Identify what the experience taught you to help develop a sense of closure.
12. Remember both the good and the bad. Even if appears this way now, the past was not perfect. Acknowledging this may minimize your sense of loss. As Laura Oliver says, “It’s easier to let go of a human than a hero.”
13. Un-romanticize the way you view love. Of course you’ll feel devastated if you believe you lost your soul mate. If you think you can find a love that amazing or better again it will be easier to move on.
14. Visualize an empowered single you—the person you were before meeting your last love. That person was pretty awesome, and now you have the chance to be him or her again.
15. Reward yourself for small acts of acceptance. Get a facial after you delete his number from your phone, or head out with friends after putting all her things in a box.
16. Hang this statement somewhere you can see it. “Loving myself means letting go.”
17. Replace your emotional thoughts with facts. When you think, “I’ll never feel loved again!” don’t resist that feeling. Instead, move on to another thought, like “I learned a new song for karaoke tonight.”
18. Use the silly voice technique. According to Russ Harris, author of The Happiness Trap, swapping the voice in your head with a cartoon voice will help take back power from the troubling thought.
20. Use a deep breathing technique, like ujayii, to soothe yourself and seep into the present moment.
21. Consider this quotation by Eckhart Tolle: “Worry pretends to be necessary but serves no useful purpose.” Questioning how your stress serves you may help you let it go.
22. Use it up. Make two lists: one with the root causes of your stress, and one with actions to address them. As you complete these tasks, visualize yourself utilizing and depleting your “stress supply.”
23.Learn to trust again — by trusting yourself. Dr. Phil tells a man who's having a hard time letting women back into his life: "Trust is not about how much you trust one person or another to do right or wrong.
24.How much you trust another person is a function of how much you trust yourself to be strong enough to deal with their imperfections." Have enough faith in yourself to be able to put yourself on the line with someone, without any guarantee of what will happen next.
25.If you're playing the game with sweaty palms, it's because you're afraid of what you can or can't do, or dealing with your own imperfections — it's not about the other person.
26.Know that you will get hurt if you're in a relationship. There is no perfect person without flaws. Even a well-intended guy is going to hurt his partner.
27.He's going to hurt your feelings. He's going to say things that you don't want him to say. He's going to do things you wish he wouldn't do and not do things you wish he would do.
28.A relationship is an imperfect union between two willing spirits who say, ''I'd rather be in a relationship and share my life, share my joys, share my fun, share my activities, share my life than do it alone."
29.If you want to be in a relationship, know that getting hurt comes with the territory. You just have to decide that you are durable enough, that you have enough confidence in yourself that you can handle it.
30.Don't beat yourself up. You got through your last experience, you've learned from it, and now it's time to move forward.
31."You'll move on and be a champion in your next endeavor as you did in your past ... Life is not a success-only journey. You are going to get beat up along the way."
32.Focus on yourself. All of us come into relationships with baggage, but you need to have closure on past experiences before you can start a new relationship with the odds in your favor.
33.Are your standards too low? Dr. Phil asks a guest who's waiting around for a man that's let her down time and again: "What is it about you that causes you to settle for somebody that you know will cheat on you, know will lie to you, know will make a commitment and then break it? What is it about you that you believe about yourself that you're willing to settle for that?"
34.Recognize that you're settling and that you deserve more. Set a higher standard for yourself.
35.Does he really even make you happy? Be honest with yourself about the extent to which he's really meeting your needs.
36.Chances are you're longing for the relationship that you wish it could be, and that you want to be in love with the person you wish he was.
37."There are times when you break up with somebody and you start missing them and you start thinking about all the good things. And then you're back with them for about 10 minutes and you go 'Oh yeah! Now I remember why I hate you!'" Don't kid yourself about what it was really like or glorify the past.
38.Don't put your life on hold. Every minute you spend focusing on your ex is a minute that's holding you back from a better future.

Last but not least, learnt from the past mistake and always try to improve it from time to time and , along the time, learn not to blame other people for the unsuccessful relationship. Letting go the person you love and let him/her find their own happinesscan also means how deep is your love towards him/her...

My Hobby - Part III...

hi folks, it had been 8 months since i last updated my Part II story of My Hobby. Well, guess now it's the time to get some updates on My Waste blog before i get totally "lazied" to carry on this blog.. the previous 2 topics seem to be more talk than pictures to depict the beauty of my collection..

In this session, i will post more pics of the Galaxy Convoy (Hasbro Ver) for you all die-hard-fan of GC out there.. let the pics talk more than words.. before that i would like to apologize for the low quality pics.. there were taken using my former 02 XDA II Mini's 1.3Mpx camera

Galaxy Convoy with its trailer which can be converted to multi-cannon base

Observe the center opening chest part which revealed the "Matrix"

1st Vehicle mode : Fire Truck

2nd vehicle mode : Fighter Plane

1st Robot mode with mistransformed head part. The correct one should look like the above pic

2nd Robot mode

Basically, that's all the conversion mode that this GC has... it has a Cyber Planet Key that enable the 2-big cannons to reveal its lil xtra fire power when the Cyber planet Key is "chip-on" into the designated slot. This figure, however do support some light and sound features which mimic the fire power sound and red light on its left cannon. Therefore, it required 2 AAA batteries to operate the sound and light features. 3 projectile missiles are included in this figure which shoot out when equipped at his small handgun and right side cannon. That's all for now, before i end this session.. do enjoy the xtras pics below... till then do check out for my next figure collection..
Thanks for viewing

My Hobby History - Part II

Hi there, after so long hibernating from blogging, now i plan to continue writing on my passion for The Transformers collectibles. My second TF figure was from Galaxy Force (Japanese ver - Garakushī Fōsu) or know as Cybertron series in the U.S, which was the Autobot Leader named Galaxy Convoy a.k.a Optimus Prime (Cybertron). Before i start the story telling on where, when and how much i grabbed this figure, i would like to proceed with the storyline of this Robotic Anime from Japan which was started to aired on the Jap TV station some where around July, 2005 till October, 2006
Screenshot of Galaxy Force anime

"When the destruction of Unicron results in the formation of a massive black hole, the planet Cybertron, home world of the Transformers, is threatened, and its population is evacuated to Earth, taking the forms of local vehicles and machinery to hide from humanity. In order to stop the black hole and save the universe, the Autobots need to find the legendary Cyber Planet Keys, which was lost due to an attempt to create a cross-universal space bridge network and reside on four worlds somewhere in the universe. These Keys were then combined together with Omega Lock, the focusing device for the Cyber Planet Key's power. Returning to Cybertron, the Autobots use the Omega Lock and Cyber Planet Keys, which awakens the spirit of Primus, the deity who is creator of the Transformers, and Cybertron itself actually transforms into the god's body."

Enough with the synopsis, now i shall intro u my second TF figure which was obtained in the island of Penang when i was visiting there during my trimester break. Initially, i have no intention to shop for any 'souvenir' for myself as my target is only to explore Penang island throughout the vacation period. But destiny had brought me to one of the shoppipng centers near Gurney Plaza (forgotten the name of that place ad) where i found the U.S ver of Galaxy Convoy a.k.a Optimus Prime. The figure tagged at the staggering price of RM218.80 which later brought me to use my bargaining skill to step down the sky rocketed price. Unfortunately, the uncle of that shop (Toon Shoppe) was very 'kiam sap' to lower down the price with the reason that this item was hard-to-get item at that time. With passion surpassing my wallet's limit, finally i paid RM218.80 to that uncle and brought back that figure happily ever after... err.. not really happy 100% caused it cost a bomb and burn one big hole in my wallet.

There is also another version of Galaxy Convoy which was released later after the Galaxy Force show. This version of figure was just 1/3 of the normal Galaxy Convoy height and thus carried the model type of Hybrid Style. Although it is small in size, but the detail and articulation is better or on par with the normal version of Galaxy Convoy.

My Hobby History - Part I

Hi there.. juz wanna try out my 1st blogging.. out of boring sunday morning.. how to start eh.. hhhmm.. let me c..

let me start wif my past time hobby.. collecting figurines namely The Transformers figures..
i started out to love this figures when i was a small kid.. that time our local TV station did aired the Generation 1 Transformers series every week. So, every week i catch up wif that show and never miss out any single episode.. the best thing was u had the chance to win some TF figures by participating a contest which will be asked rite after the TF show ended.. i did try a couple of time.. but wif no luck, my name wasn't announced everytime i waited for the host to say out the weekly winner... ever since then i tried to own my TF figures by purchasing it from the departmental store.. one of the figure i bought.. actually not i bought.. it was given to me by my uncle when i followed he and his family to Fajar Supermarket (now is known as The Store). lucky me, he offered me to choose anything that i wanted during the shopping.. without having 2nd tot.. i landed my hand on the transformable helicopter robot called Rotorstorm from the G1 series

Rotorstorm is a European exclusive Transformer Turbomaster that wasn't released in the US until it was repainted as Machine Wars Sandstorm and Universe Whirl.

*All the pics are courtesy of Seibertron.com

If i am not mistaken, this figure was cost around RM24.90 at that time, but if some one would like to own this pearl now.. the price will be easily reach RM300.. madness.. but that's the value of G1 TF because they are no longer in production , so the older the TF series is, the more expensive it would be. frankly speaking, some collector insanely jack up the price 5 or 10 time higher than the retail price... but sad to say, once this figure used to be in my room.. now.. dunno gone to where ad... must been 'donated' to my cousin or end up in the rubish bin.. can't remember...
Another old figures that i owned before is from the G1 series also..called Blitzwing.. the triple changer.. can change from battle tank to aeroplane and robot mode...

Blitzwing, the triple changer from G1 series

And the last figure i had was a transformable aeroplane in yellow color.. but i dunno what was the name.. it seem like i cant find the pic anywhere in the TF fandom site.. nvm.. i think that's all i like to tok about my hobby history.. will continue later on when i have some free time to review more on my current collections...

To be continued in Part II

p/s: this hobby is seriuosly addictive and those dun wan to loose his/her hair because of eating maggie mee everyday, pls find other alternative meal that has lower than or equal value to one pack of maggie mee to save on more money to fulfill this hobby's lust.
